John Christensen has spent more than two decades directing complex private residences and international property portfolios for some of the world’s most prominent principals and families. His experience includes working for Middle Eastern royal families, hedge-fund billionaires, global business leaders and internationally recognized figures in entertainment. Several have owned some of the most valuable private property portfolios in the world.
As founder of Catalina Estate Management, John provides senior owner-side leadership during the moments when a residence requires experienced direction: acquisition and due diligence, major construction or renovation, the launch of a new home, operational restructuring and the creation of professional household teams.
Operational experience
Experience built at the highest level
His experience includes directing portfolios of more than ten residences, leading multidisciplinary teams of up to 100 people, managing major residential and private-island projects, overseeing superyacht construction in European shipyards, and establishing the systems, budgets, vendor networks and operating standards required to support demanding international lifestyles.
John began his career managing Mediterranean five-star hotels. That foundation continues to shape his approach: exacting standards, calm leadership and an understanding that exceptional service should feel effortless to the principal.
Today, John leads an international team of experienced estate managers and trusted specialists, selected for their operational expertise and knowledge of the regions in which they work. Together, they provide discreet, practical leadership designed to protect each principal’s privacy, assets and time.
A resident of both the United States and Europe, John works across international markets and service cultures.
